The Bifold Format

The leather for this navy-blue wallet is full-grain calf leather — taurillon — sourced from tanneries in France and Spain. Full-grain means the natural surface of the hide is entirely preserved: its grain, its slight variations, its texture. Nothing is sanded or corrected.
Navy blue in full-grain leather deepens over time. The grain becomes more defined, the surface develops a matte lustre that builds gradually with handling. After several months of daily use, the leather has a presence it did not have when new.
