What Makes a Good Member-Guest Tee Gift
The tee gifts that work are the ones still being carried months later. A full-grain leather wallet, card holder, passport holder or tee holder passes that test; a flask and an engraved novelty do not. Budget around $150 a player and you are comfortably inside what a fine leather piece costs. Give the same object to every player in a different color and the gift becomes collective and personal at once.
Allow about four weeks from your order to delivery in the United States, which means deciding in February for a June tournament.

What a tee gift actually has to do…
A tee gift is handed out at the first tee to people who already own everything. It has one job, and it is not to impress on the day. It is to still exist in six months.
That single test eliminates most of the category. The flask is used once, at the tournament. The engraved bottle opener goes in a drawer. The branded cooler bag goes in the garage. Even the 2026 golf gift guides have started saying it out loud: skip the flask.
What survives is what goes in a pocket every morning. A man who opens his wallet six times a day for ten years is carrying your tournament with him, long after he has forgotten the scores.

Four pieces that get carried
1. The card holder. The natural choice for a full field. Slim, used every day, no question of size or taste, and the price makes a run of a hundred generous without being unreasonable. It is the piece a player who already likes his wallet will still use.
2. The wallet. The fuller gesture, for a smaller field, for the winners, or for the captain’s prize. An unbranded full-grain wallet is the object a man replaces his old one with, which is the highest compliment a gift can receive.
3. The passport holder. For clubs whose members travel to play. It is taken out at every departure, which makes it one of the most visible objects on this list, and it sits naturally with a buddies trip or an away fixture.
4. The tee holder. The one piece on this list that belongs to the game itself. Small, in the same full-grain leather and the same nine colors, it goes in the bag and stays there for seasons.
Our pieces run from about €43 for a card holder to €100 for a wallet. At current rates that places all of them inside the $150 a player that organizers commonly budget, and the card holder well inside it.

One color per player
This is where a leather tee gift stops being ordinary.
Every supplier in this category engraves initials. It has become the default, which means it has stopped distinguishing anything, and a monogrammed object is also the one a man quietly stops carrying because it is marked with somebody else’s event.
We work nine permanent colors: yellow, orange, red, burgundy, cognac, khaki, royal blue, navy and black. Give the same piece in a different color to each player and you have one gesture and a hundred signatures. Deep shades suit every wardrobe; the bright ones make the gift a talking point at the dinner.
It also photographs well. A hundred card holders laid out by color on the prize table is a better picture than a hundred identical boxes.
Personalization
The tournament name still has to appear somewhere.
On the box label, from six pieces. One design, printed identically for the whole field: the name of the tournament, the club and the year. Three weeks from approved artwork. Included from €400 of purchase, which any field of six or more is above. We send a proof before anything is printed.
Embossed in the leather, from one hundred pieces. For a full member-guest field, the club name or crest can be stamped hot into the leather itself, with a trial submitted for approval before the run. Four to six weeks.
Our own name stays embossed discreetly inside every piece and never appears on the outside. The object carries your club, not its maker.
What to avoid
Anything used once. Flasks, cigar cutters, novelty headcovers. They are bought because they look generous laid out on a table.
Anything with a size. Shirts, belts, gloves. A full field means a full range of sizes and one player who knows he was guessed wrong.
Deep engraving on the object. It dates the piece to an event rather than to its owner, and it is the single most common reason a good gift stops being carried.
When to order
Work backwards from the first tee.
| Step | Time |
| From approved artwork to dispatch | three weeks for a box label, four to six for embossed leather |
| Shipping to the United States | about one week |
| Total, door to door | four to seven weeks |
For a June tournament, decide in February and order by the end of March. For an August tournament, order by the end of May. Add a fortnight for the things that go wrong, because a tee gift that arrives the week after the tournament is not a tee gift.
If your date is closer than that, write to us and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
How to order
Tell us three things: the number of players, the date of the tournament, and whether you want one color or a full set.
We reply with a written quotation within one working day, showing the complete cost per player including personalization, packaging and shipping.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good member-guest tee gift?
A full-grain leather piece that is carried every day: a card holder, a wallet, a passport holder or a tee holder. The test is whether the player still has it in six months, which rules out flasks and engraved novelties.
How much should you spend on a tee gift?
Organizers commonly budget around $150 a player. A full-grain leather card holder or wallet sits inside that figure, and it is one of the few things at that price that is still in use years later.
Should tee gifts be engraved?
The tournament name should appear, but not on the object. We print it on the box label instead, from six pieces upwards, and leave the leather unmarked. An engraved piece is a souvenir of a day; an unmarked one is simply a good wallet that came from your tournament.
Can each player receive a different color?
Yes, and there is no supplement for mixing them. We work nine permanent colors, so a full field can be given the same piece in a different shade for each player.
How many tee gifts do I need to order?
One per player, plus a few for the captain’s prize and the winners. Six pieces is our minimum for a custom box label; one hundred for a club name embossed in the leather itself.
How far in advance should tee gifts be ordered?
Four to seven weeks door to door for a United States address, depending on the personalization. Decide in February for a June tournament and order by the end of March.
Do the pieces carry a visible maker’s logo?
No. Nothing on the outside. Our name is embossed discreetly inside, so the object carries your club and your tournament rather than ours.
What leather are they made of?
Full-grain taurillon leather, selected hide by hide from French and Spanish tanneries. Full-grain keeps the natural surface of the hide, so it develops a patina, and it lasts many years.
