A full-grain leather object is the corporate gift that is kept, and that develops a patina with time. The wallet and the card holder make fitting gifts for teams and for clients ; the luggage tag and the badge holder are perfect for a conference or for travel.

Carré Royal makes from 100 to 10,000 pieces per confirmed order, 4 to 6 weeks between the confirmation of the order and delivery when the materials are in stock, and personalisation with the name of a company or of a celebration is entirely possible.

9 colours are available.

2. What quantity?

The floor for a personalised run is 100 pieces. This threshold corresponds to the setting of the tools and to the launch of a run.

We can produce up to 10,000 pieces.

One colour or several?

Both practices exist. A company giving to its teams often chooses a single shade. A house giving to its clients sometimes leaves a choice between three colours, which turns the gift into a moment of personal, individual choice and helps strengthen the attachment to the object. This second approach costs nothing more in production at Carré Royal.

3. When should corporate gifts be ordered?

This is the point buyers most often overlook.

Most corporate gift suppliers close their end-of-year orders at the beginning of October, because their production is committed elsewhere. Buyers discover this in mid-October, when the internal decision has finally been made.

With a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks, an order confirmed at the beginning of November can still be delivered before the holidays. There is therefore a window, narrow but real, after the market has generally closed.

4. Personalisation

Three levels, from the most discreet to the most visible.

The outer signature. A colour logo printed from a foil.

Printing, or outer embossing. The name of the company, or that of an event, stamped hot into the leather. No ink, no added colour: it is the leather itself that is printed. A trial is submitted to you before the run is launched.

The packaging label. For a company that would rather have nothing marked on the object, the packaging label can be personalised. The brand is then on the packaging and the piece stays bare. It is also the fastest solution, since it requires no specific embossing of the product.

On colour. We work with 9 colours and we do not produce bespoke shades.

5. Why choose a leather goods maison?

This is the real decision, and it deserves to be stated plainly. Not everyone in the gift business does the same work.

Leather goods maison
Manufacturehides selected one by one
Materialfull-grain taurillon leather
Ageingdevelops a patina
Rangesome fifteen pieces, made to last, and bespoke objects
Useful lifeten to fifteen years

An object kept for fifteen years goes on speaking of the person who gave it. It is a long-term investment in a relationship.

One point that matters: the ability to develop a patina is a privilege of full-grain leather. Corrected-grain leathers, buffed and then coated with a pigmented finish, do not develop a patina, they flake.

6. Which object to choose?

Choose the most universal object, not the most spectacular. A wallet and a card holder have no size, no gender, no imposed style. A bag, a belt or a piece of jewellery do.

Prefer restraint to expression. An object with no visible logo suits everyone. An object covered in a brand imposes a choice on the person receiving it, and it is not kept for long.

If you give a single shade, choose a deep one. Black, navy and cognac suit every professional code. If you can offer three, add a bright colour: those who choose it will be the ones who keep the object longest.

7. Three common mistakes

Ordering too late.

Choosing the object before knowing who it is for.

Making the logo the subject. A discreet embossing in the leather is kept for years, and the name stays visible all that time. Restraint is the most profitable calculation here.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a good corporate leather gift?

A wallet or a card holder for a presentation to teams or to clients. A luggage tag or a badge holder for a conference, a seminar or a journey. A passport holder for an international event.

What is the minimum quantity for a personalised corporate gift?

100 pieces. This floor corresponds to the setting of the tools and to the launch of a run.

What is the maximum quantity? From 100 to 10,000 pieces per order at Carré Royal.

How long does it take between order and delivery?

4 to 6 weeks when the materials are in stock. For delivery before Christmas, an order confirmed at the beginning of November can still be delivered.

When should end-of-year customized corporate gifts be ordered?

At the beginning of November at the latest for delivery in December. Most suppliers close their orders as early as the beginning of October, but a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks leaves a window after that closure.

However, if you order items in stock we can customized the packaging, and this reduce the delays.

Can our company logo be embossed on the leather?

Yes, on the outside of the piece. A trial is submitted to you before the run is launched. The Carré Royal logo can be embossed on the inside.

Can we have the exact colour of our visual identity?

We work with 9 colours and do not produce bespoke shades.

What material are the pieces made of?

Full-grain taurillon leather, selected hide by hide from French and Spanish tanneries.

What is the difference between a full-grain leather gift and a promotional leather item?

Full-grain leather keeps the natural surface of the hide: it develops a patina and lasts ten to fifteen years. A corrected-grain leather, buffed and then coated with a pigmented finish, flakes. The distinction is not aesthetic, it is material, and it determines how long the object will live.

Do you deliver abroad?

Yes, in Europe, in North America and worldwide.

Can we see the pieces before ordering?

Yes. We send samples on request.

Do you make pieces that are not in your catalogue?

We study every request. A new format requires a pattern and a trial, which lengthens the lead time.
